Nonhuman Ethnography
For an upper level undergraduate anthropology course I'm in, I've decided to do an ethnography documenting the nonhuman community and their use of technology to create and mantain community. This project is not about nonhuman identity. While the exploration of identity will come into play, I am not here to explain or document us. Instead, I am looking at how different online platforms (IRC, forums, social media, etc.) impact how we form community and how changes in this technology go on to change the community itself.
This research will not be published. It was presented to my class at the end of the semester and will be shared online (likely on this page here) for those in the community to see. This was done under the guidance of my professor and is being held to ethical standards.
At the moment, I am doing some additional research, final edits, and a few corrections. Details about how this enthography was conducted will be in the final document, but you may also reach out to me if you have any specific questions.
